Bridget & Jon::Wedding in Vail
I could not wait to document this wedding! One word immediately comes to my mind when I reflect on this day: classy. Bridget did not miss a beat when planning their special day, she was on top of it all, which I appreciated because it made me well aware of all the details. This is pretty long entry blog because I could not help myself...we start with their 'western' rehearsal dinner.
We also want to feature a great wedding coordinator, Emily Campbell of Bella Design and Planning. It was our first time working with her and Kim. She kept us up to speed with everything and all events went smoothly. I also want to point out how creative she is. Not only is she a coordinator, but also designs events and invitations. Very inspiring! Check her out- www.gobella.com
I also want to point out my amazing second photographer, Aaron. I enjoy working with him and we truly 'click' while shooting. We had another amazing wedding season, complete with lots of adventures, stories and some funny moments.
Dress/Veil: Anna Be
Grooms Tux: Geeves & Hawkes of London
Flowers: The Secret Garden
Hair: Lisa Sackman
Makeup: Reel Makeup, Jessica Chenowyth
Invitations/Paper products: My Personal Artist

Loved the 'wanted' signs in the entry with the photos of all the guests!

Nancy (Jons mother) put a lot of thought and energy into the details of the event....she wanted everyone to have fun, hence the props!

The guests were having a blast, how could you not?

The Donovan Pavilion, such a great venue!

Love love love this pic....

I know...the CUTEST ring bearers I have ever seen...love the scab on the knee...

And the ladies arriving at The Chapel....

Love this image...as soon as Bridget walked up, Jon had to whisper something in her ear...I imagine it was something along the lines of, "you look amazing..."

Portraits after the ceremony....

Heading to Betty Ford Gardens for some great portraits...

A really fun wedding party....

Jon with his crazy guys...

Brittany & Justin::Engaged
One of my all time favorite wedding clients, Molly and Brian bought their friends a gift certificate for an engagement session. Great gift, huh? Brittany and Justin showed up, they looked amazing and we were lucky to have such a gorgeous morning. I know what you are thinking...they are not models, really. First and most important, they are totally in love, and second, both wonderful. And third, very good looking and dare I say...a tad sexy... They are getting married in Costa Rica, and I can't be there but my good friend and amazing photographer, Beth will be. Can't wait to see those photos!

Alexandra Fox::Modeling Session
Alexandra's modeling session was perfect and to think I almost cancelled the photo shoot because of the wind. Ironically, it worked perfectly for the first photo below...who doesn't love the natural wind look?! Alexandra is already signed with Wilhelmina modeling agency in Denver. I can't wait to open a magainze up and see her in it, I know it will happen sooner than later. To boot, she is also very very sweet. Her photo shoot inspired me.

I love the length in her legs in this shot.

By far, my favorite shot of the day...hot!

Another great image of Alexandra

Baby James
Sara and John are truly great friends of ours...and I have been lucky to document some of the most important events for them-engagement, wedding, maternity and now a family portrait. James is such a wonderful baby to top it off...and simply adorable. I love shooting at clients homes...more personal, relaxed and especially with a young baby. Here are some of my favs....

I adore these photos with Sara and James....

Another top pick for me, I like Johns expression on the 2nd image...totally in awe of his baby.

Introducing Stella Louise!
We had a baby girl, Stella Louise Smith on October 5th, 5:24am. 8lbs 12oz, 20.5 inches long. Stella means 'star of the sea' and Louise is a family name (my middle name along with both of my Grandmothers middle names). We are totally in love and enjoying all the moments!

Emily the Soprano
Emily has a truly amazing voice, and the first time I heard her perform, I think my mouth just fell open, seriously. Such talent AND a wonderful person. She is always so happy and fun to be around, she exudes beauty. It was time to update her head shots, and I was excited for our session, below are just a few I love!

The light was such a treat at this spot...

Gotta love her laugh and smile.

Such a classic image

Brenna::Senior and Model Photos
I had the pleasure of photographing Brenna and her family last year, and she came back for some more! She is a Senior at Monarch in Louisville. She is also toying around with the idea of modeling...I think she should go for it. I can't believe how many 'looks' she can pull off, and she also happens to be beautiful...and fun...and has a great sense of style. Here we go!

Rockstar!

Did I mention she is fun?

Another love..so soft.

This is the shot she picked out for the yearbook, I think its perfect.

I love these next two as well...a bit arty I guess but it really captures Brenna.

I really love this image....
