Liz and Shane::Boulder, CO Wedding
It seems like forever ago, but Liz and Shane were married October 11th in Boulder AND it was also the first snow! I always feel lucky to have great clients, but Liz and Shane are simply wonderful. Since I met them, we clicked. We talked about music, the East Coast (where they are from), and I knew it was a good match when after their engagement shoot we had margaritas in Morrison.
Their wedding was unique to their style. I wish I had my rehearsal at Avery's Brewery (and so does my husband!)The ladies got ready at the Hotel Boulderado, the ceremony was around the corner and then to the Rembrandt Yard for the reception-totally perfect.
Liz and Shane are crazy in love, and I love working with people in love. Lots of love all around....
Onto the photos! Liz and Shane, thank you for letting us document your day. Second photographer was Aaron Z-who is always great to work with.
Wedding Planner: Jennifer Lyn
Flowers: European Flower Shop
Cake/cupcakes: Shamanes Bake Shoppe
Catering: Spice of Life

I know, the purple shoes are awesome!!! The beautiful flowers are by European Floral.

Liz's Mom did her make up, which I thought was really great.

We have to take advantage of the beautiful Boulderado. Liz, you are stunning!

Getting ready to head out. For the photographers out there, I know some have issues with 'blur' but I shot this with a slow shutter speed on purpose, not on accident...

Shane in waiting...looking a bit serious, and Liz walking up with her Dad.

Liz coming up the aisle, I love the back of her dress.

I love this view, such a beautiful church.

I love the contrast of the blue, so vibrant.

The crazy wedding party...they were fun.

Outside the church...a bit cold but they hung in there!

The decor was beautiful, I know Liz spent a ton of time on everything.

Super tasty treats from Shamane's Bakery-I want a cupcake now!

The toasts were really fantastic. I was laughing, and then had some tears...love those moments.

Liz and Shane having their first dance to Norah Jones, Come Away with Me (also my song so I was reminiscing)

Liz and her Dad....

I love this photo, Aaron Z got this moment....

Ok, so this party was CRAZY! I wanted to join in so bad! They know how to get down and have a goooood time....

Liz cutting the rug with Grandpa...adorable!

Shane, you rule. Shane is the only groom I have photographed yet to do the splits!

The D.J. was not happy about this move...it make the music jump, but none the less, classic move here guys!

Liz with all her ladies...

ELC Holiday Party!
Its that time of year again, when the crew from ELC Photography gets together and celebrates another successful year! As you can see from the photos, we have a lot of fun together...
I wanted to take this time to thank each and everyone of you. I feel so incredibly lucky to have such talented individuals work with me. Thank you for always being professional, organized, kind, polite, energetic, creative and for ALL of the laughs along the way. You rock!!!
My 2nd photographers for this year have been Aaron, Trent and Brandon. You are all AMAZING photographers, thank you for being the best!
Amy, my accountant is by far, the coolest accountant I have ever worked with. Thank you for keeping me organized Amy!
Shima, your artistic and professional skills have made my photo shoots this year beautiful! You are truly a skilled hair and make up artist.
Bridgette, my studio manager extraordinaire...thank you for EVERYTHING you do. I feel way lucky to have you and know it will not last long. You are by far, the most organized person I have met!
Onto the photos.....

The Empire Restaurant in Louisville on Main Street (right around the corner from the studio) Thank you for another great night of excellent service and food!

We decided this year to have a gift exchange...lets just say there were some 'hot' items that were wanted! I have no clue what I am doing in the photo to the right....and let me also point out Brandon is kissing a fish in the photo. A big step for him since he is a vegetarian...

The ELC crew and spouses!

Melanie & Josh Maternity
Melanie was glowing when I saw her for the photo shoot-I walked into their lovely home in Louisville and could not believe how gorgeous she looked. More than this, she just had this calmness about her, totally relaxed. Initially Josh did not want to be in any of the photos but I kind of talked him into it...(thanks Josh!) and it was great having him included.
Josh and Melanie own one of the coolest spots in Louisville, The Waterloo restaurant and bar. If you have not been there, check out their schedule because they have great live music all the time.
I have a feeling this baby will grow up listening to Johnny Cash (one of their favs), great blues music and some of Josh's guitar playing. You will both be wonderful parents, can't wait to meet the little one!

This card uses a custom monogram of your last name-
My husband
This past Sunday, my husband Shaun said, "Hey, I want some new photos of myself" (note, this is rare because he generally HATES having his photo taken) so I jumped at the opportunity. Here are a few....so handsome!

Nicole Fox IS America's Next Top Model!
Wow, what a journey Nicole has gone on, and I followed every episode (along with many other fans!) I felt like a proud Mom watching the final episode last night-I screamed in excitement and then I got a tear to my eye...
Nicole-you deserve this. I saw how hard you worked, how much thought and energy you put into every photo shoot and challenge on the show. I admire your strength and most important, for staying true to yourself. You kept your integrity through it all.
I can only imagine what the future holds for you. I can't wait to be flipping through a magazine and see you. Cheers to you!!!
Of course, I had to pull a few more images...

We used this image for her comp card cover...

I love this image, because Nicole has a beautiful smile and laugh. She easily pulls off the more 'serious/model' look, but I also like seeing this side of her.

The red hair, gotta love it!

Her profile is stunning to me, love the lines and structure.
