A bit of New Zealand

Shaun and I recently took a trip back to NZ for 3 weeks. We had a few things to accomplish while there (and have fun of course!)

1-to surprise his family at our nephews first birthday party. Accomplished with flying colors. If you see me in person, ask me to tell you the story, its a good one.

2-we also had to do some work while there which took a bit more time than expected, but we got it done!

3-enjoy time with friends and family-we had a blast getting to know our super cute nephew Jasper and having fun with family and friends.

The time always goes wayyyy to quick. However, we soaked in every single summer day, ate lots of fish n chips, pies, drank L&P, Steinlager beer, went to the beach as much as possible, and ate some lamb among other things. Here are just a few images from our time there....

Langs Beach, such a beautiful spot. One of Shauns favs. I think we had the perfect evening there.

This also made it perfect: fresh fish and chips. Soooo good. I really wish there was a decent place here to get some. Dang.

One of my favorite places in the world. Seriously. Cape Reinga which is the Northern most point of NZ. Its magical there. I can't describe it any other way. You literally see the Tasman Sea and the Pacific Ocean collide. Its amazing. This time, it was very foggy and rainy which made it even more mesmerizing.

The sign near the lighthouse.

Leaving the Cape we had a very typical NZ sheep road block which was fun.

Ninety Mile beach, another epic spot. We were the ONLY ones there, that is why NZ is awesome. You are in the most gorgeous spot on Earth, and nobody else is there. Shaun went fishing and caught a decent sized ones. We then proceeded to give them away to the owner of the place we stayed...because we were going out for dinner. The one restaurant in town was closed so then we went back and had pasta...not fish. Kind of funny but not at the moment!

I am so excited to get my bees this Spring! I will have 2 hives in our backyard...
